We were really impressed with the location of the hostel, as it was conveniently situated near all the main attractions. The rooftop was a fantastic feature, providing a great spot for breakfast and evening relaxation. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
We did notice that some areas of the hostel weren't as clean as we would have expected.

The location of this hostel was perfect, with attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The entire place was sparkling clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. My favorite spot was the rooftop area where delicious free breakfast was served. The host, Michele, was incredible and always ready to give tips on exploring the city. I highly recommend Tam Hostel for anyone visiting HCMC.

Cozy and friendly atmosphere, perfect for meeting other travelers. Helpful and attentive staff, always ready to assist. Convenient location, close to main sights but away from the noise. Clean and well-maintained dorms with reading lights and curtains. Delicious Vietnamese-style breakfast that changes daily. 'Family dinner' provides a great opportunity to try local cuisine and socialize
The mattresses are quite hard and may not be comfortable for everyone

The breakfasts prepared by Michelle and her family every morning were a delicious taste of local Vietnamese cuisine. The hostel's location in district 1 is ideal for sightseeing, with easy access to popular attractions like the War Remnant Museum and Bùi Viện street. The private fans at the beds were a nice touch, especially since the air conditioning is only turned on at nighttime. The hostel is fairly new, with modern facilities and a welcoming lobby. The staff were incredibly friendly and always eager to help with any issues.
Felt cared for, no reason to complain.

The friendly and welcoming staff made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast served was delicious and we loved that we could enjoy it on the rooftop. The hotel's perfect location allowed us to easily explore the surrounding attractions and the comfortable air conditioning was a bonus during our stay.
Our room unfortunately had a noisy water tank located above us, which was quite disruptive throughout the day. It would be great if the hotel could address this issue for future guests.
